Hi Everyone, 

 

I have just traded in the Ibis white S3 8P (which was always the plan) to get a Daytona grey RS3 with the following Spec - Recaro wingback bucket seats, Aluminum pack, Privacy glass, Folding mirrors, Comfort package and Aluminum finish inlays. (I have been waiting a while for the right one to come up!) 

 

I have already changed the number plate bulbs for LEDs just to give the car a fresher look.

 

 

Thinking of starting to mod the car over the next couple of months so people’s inputs and suggestions tips and tricks are always helpful.

 

The plan is to take the car to stage 2

Nice car m8 wer did you get led number plate lamps?

A5 oem ones fit our 8p I've changed mine as some I bought from a member on ASN kept failing.

Since using the oem ones I've had no problems.

Well that that old love
My ethos on number plate lights though, is to have them as dull as possible ( cameras and poleeece) so going bright would not be my main prioritay

Hi mate,

 

            Could you give us a little comparison/review of your RS3 vs your S3 and just how you find the RS3 in general please? I am looking to make a purchase in the next year or so and after coming from a 450+bhp B5 S4 I am considering a RS3 8P, GLA45 AMG or a RS3 8V. The Golf R doesn't really do it for me so I discounted that.

 

Despite searching for a good forum review for ages I have yet to find one on the RS3 in terms of just how the car is as a daily driver in all aspects.

I am personally a big fan of the bucket seats and wouldn't have bought an RS3 without them. 

I think the RS3 should have come with LED number plate lights from standard as they suit the rest of the cars outside image.

I bought a set of these and I haven't looked back since! 

I have also fitted this cable with some resistors on because these lights still triggered the system on my old S3 but i never tried without it on the RS.
