Hi

After finally getting the test drive two weeks ago, I fell in love.... I subconsciously signed the papers straight away (3% discount).

Now, I'm obviously still awaiting my BW. However, good things come to those who wait, and wait, and wait.

In order of priority, my spec:

1. Dynamic pack - a beautifully sounding car, needs a beautifully sounding exhaust
2. Panther black - saw it two years ago, wanted it since
3. Black styling pack - I drove alu on Sepang, have to say it was gorgeous. With black, it just needs this!
4. Sat Nav - sticking phones around your interior and/or risking your Audi fiddling with one is not my bag
5. Red calipers - for black/red cars I think they're a necessity
6. Mirrors body coloured
7. Mirrors folding, heated, elec adjusted

Anyone with real pictures of a Panther Mk2 out there yet??

Adrian

Added the B&O sound system too...May have been swayed by my dealer here... 'anyone who told you it's not worth the extra over the Audi system is smoking something'.

Any thoughts on it will be much appreciated! As I'm still thinking of taking off.

PS Exhaust will entertain me for 2 years, but this is a long term investment

Welcome to the OC adrian!

You are in good company.

Personally the upgraded sound system is better and will without doubt make the car more saleable down the line.

Welcome to the OC :)

Did you not opt for the comfort and sound pack?

Thanks guys - it was a true shock to see how well the RS3 holds its value. I think I'll stick with the B&O to enjoy for now and give it the best chance to realise that value!

I opted for just the sound system...the extras in comfort seemed a little superfluous. Think the real comfort comes in the dampers! But I could be swayed by thoughts!?

B&O is a good sound system to have, it will be miles ahead of the standard system!

Sounds like it is! Premium car buyers will be looking for a premium sound system.

I think the dynamic pack is the more important buy though

Welcome. Both last A5 Sportbacks had B & O and I don't think it gave me the value for what music I am litsning to. I am listening to hard/heavy metal and pretty much R & B and so on. I have noticed that Audi sound system is almost to much already because I want to listen the sound from the engine. Hope you have fun with your new car.

Thanks! Great to hear a different opinion...think I might have to pop down the dealer and ask for a demo once and for all.

I hear people have been able to find their car order on Audi UK. I have my number but it keeps saying that my order details cannot be found...I guess this is simply because I don't have a BW yet. Any ideas?

Make sure your details are the same, difference in name spellings etc won't bring up your order on the site

Thanks, yeah I tried that - everything is the same as the order form. Guess the next step is to get onto their customer services!

You have to go B&O, for the money and the difference if you like your music loud and clear it's a no brainier....

It seems like a very surprisingly unpopular colour choice! Probably because the Sepang looks so good. Do you have a BW? Would be interested to see how good she looks in advance

Week 42, so I should pick up mid Nov. Pics will of course follow!

I too am surprised, many people have said over the years how much they like Panther on other models as it's really a stunning colour, I thought the stealth look would be more popular too. I think as the car is not so aggressive in it's styling many people have gone for a more stand out colour to combat this. End of the day colour is a very personal choice, I think it'll look great in anything TBH!

I couldn't agree with you more!!

Looking forward to the Nov pics. Haven't got my BW yet so think I'll be waiting 6 months on top of yours
