I can see the benefits of 2 buckets in the winter; that said if the car is prepared correctly then pressure washing it will take the majority of grime off.

Depends on your snow foam. For Autobrite Magifom I just apply it and then wash everything off. With Bilt Hamber I jet washed, foamed, rinsed then shampoo + mitt.

If its been waxed enough then a good rinse before snow foam usually gets all the crap off.  

 

I've in the past had the foam thats too strong/abrasive and stripped all the wax off......  

 

Live and learn,  I'll be buying the more PH neutral one next.

I use a lambs wool mitt and rinse with the hose before putting it back into the shampoo water. The 2 bucket method leaves too much dirt in the rinsing bucket. Using the hose ensures that it is washed off between each dip. Bit if a pain, but I'm pretty sure it's better
Snow foam is great to get some of the surface dirt off, the less rubbing of paintwork when dirty the better. If you think of dirt as abrasive sand, then you see why..( maybe I'm a too OCD!)

And tbh I use good waxes, sealants and wheel cleaners from cleanyourcar
Didn't notice much difference between expensive shampoo or Turtlewax Nanotech. I use loads of that, which lubricates the mitt better. As its cheaper you don't have to ration it out so much. Just my 2 cents as they say
