Pat you're a braver man than me I couldn't do what you're doing and it's not you're first build ,you must have balls of steel

It is my first build I've never done anything like this before not even near mate not to this level.....it's called impulsive (that's posh for bit stupid or reckless) not brave...yeh it's my money but the headache and bravery is all on Andy Walker

I've had a rebuild done on my old Leon but nothing like this

I have driven brand new cars from showroom to tuners though on several occasions for major upgrades if that counts ?

My biggest concerns on the RS are things going bang or going into meltdown as its all unknown territory..oh and the interior or exterior colour scheme looking absolutely SH##E

Only engine and exhaust.....I drove it straight from Stoke BMW to Slough to have supercharger map and exhaust installed....haaa I had to do 3 laps of the M25 to get the mileage on then drove into Maidstone BMW for an oil change then dropped it off at the tuners in Slough.
Not sure this is allowed on here.....but you can see the blower on the right and the big new head unit

Done similar with a few new cars but generally only map springs or exhaustAttached File  image.jpg   79.19K   7 downloads

Thank you mate...

I was running a quicker more powerful car but needed a saloon rather than a two seater....in hindsight I messed up completely. I sold my GT2 in 2011 as it took a year to sell and I lost a fortune.....same year cars are now selling at 70k more than I got for mine... Yes that is 7-0 k gutted

No problem at all. If everyone is up for a real drive I know a nice way round to Bakewell through a place called Longner. we can stop off and get some food/drinks in Bakewell then and if people want to go off from there or follow me on into Glossop through Chaple and Hayfield I can take you all to the best photo spot I know of. Would look the part with a few 3's lined up there :)

I test drove a last of the 997's GTS with aero last year, was all I could do not to buy it! I took the wife to talk me out of it, but she loved it too! The sales guy rang the next day and offered me a 24hr test drive and I turned it down as I knew I would buy it and it just wasn't a sensible thing to do!

The GT2 price increase for a modern car have slayed me...I can't think of another car that has risen like that 70k in 4 years...I wasn't aware they weren't in production anymore. I knew the RS version came out couple years ago and I thought then that I'd love to wait long enough and get one when affordable but the price of them is staggering 230-40k when I know they were launched at around the 150mark
