Hi MacD and thanks.
Yes the car had the bypass pipes when I bought it and it had previously been mapped, but Audi wiped this of before letting me have it. I have booked in at AmD to have the map put back on though in July as its only £60+vat to reinstall it! Other than that I may add a panel filter and want to remove the front number plate surround and have my private reg cut down to show more of the grille.
Hi underlined, what a car !!! Congratulation. Somebody's eyes must be popping out looking at that......!!!
What figures do you get with a Amd remap ?
Hi, thanks for the comments.
I have the rr print out at home which I can look at later, it was 390 bhp. This is down a bit on other quoted figures, and they quote 400bhp on their site. I don't mind though as the previous owner said it was a really good map, and I don't want to pay £650 for another map when I can have this put back on for £60+vat.
400bhp is what i'd expect and certainly from a car with 2nd cats.
If its just £60 then its a no brainer to have it re-installed.

That's what I thought, although it does concern me that it is bit low on power compared to other figures. I have the print out fromt the original map now and the figures are 390.9hp and 408.9lb/ft, this sound about right or are other maps quoted much higher torques?

It is lower than i'd expect however in fairness those figures are taken from a rolling road and they vary massively between them.
I think personally your stock figures are low as many RS3's RR at 10-15bhp higher than that even in stock form.
Obviously this could mean your cars 400-405bhp on another rolling road.
Its all about how the car feels too, If the last owner was happy then i'm sure you will be.
I'd like to see a couple of tuners with different maps on the same spec cars drag strip.
