After much searching finally bagged an RS3 ...

 

Apologies in advance for quality of photos - were done in a hurry as its naffing freezing out there !! More will follow through the year as car is detailed and maybe entered into concours ..

 

Rinsed off all the salt from Leeds -> London -> Bournemouth

Then a 2 bucket wash and towel dry at which point i had lost the sensation in both thumbs...

Yes it does doesn't it ? I think overall the impression is light grey , but there is definitely a greenish tinge too,and when the light is brighter there is some pale blue as well. 

 

Have to admit when I first saw it I was a little unsure but put it down to the 4am alarm and 200 odd mile trip North. And then I reasoned I really have a lot of black/grey/silver cars , and white is just so last year , so time for something individual.

I wish you hadnt said that about the wheels !! Ever since I have been looking at them and cant decide whether the black tips and rim work or not....  They must have been done after market as according to the brochure should be lighter on the tips when they are titanium ?

In your earlier photos the car appears to be quite a light grey, although whether it looks this way 'in the metal' I have no idea. I just wondered how it might look with the wheels painted black and the accents diamond cut - to my eyes, this looks good on white and suzuka grey cars

Your car is the first ive seen them on, someone mus have had them done that way, again each to there own but not for me. Id go back original with them or do the centres colour match with your car and diamond cuts the outside

Yes with both the Porsche owners club ( one regional 1st and one National 3rd) and the BMW owners club ( one regional 2nd) but only what I would call " street " class i.e. No changing of all the bolts and polishing all the underside etc. My main problem now is that only have the one car so it gets used all the time so a lot of work needs to be re-done all the time! Previously have had the luxury of a daily driver and car being prepared for concours.
But don't get me wrong - the concours prepared cars were driven "enthusiastically " and not wrapped in cotton wool !

Never done concourse, my neighbour enters his old jag in all the time. He goes to insane detail, like making sure all screws are facing the same direction? I do try and detail my car as much as possible, never let anyone else wash it. Just speant 5 hours on it last week and 3 hours of that was on the bonnet... Still need to do the rest of the car. Trying to get out all swirls a panel at a time is a biatch! Going to try and do some more this weekend so here hoping for a clwar day as no garage 😔

After kerbing one of the alloys had to have all four refurbished because of painting by previous owner (who denied it to the selling dealer who has NOT helped me in anyway and I would never deal with them ever again...) Have gone back to standard colour ....

 

Like the look a whole lot more...
