On 17th January (2015) I ordered 4 x 205/50 R16 Vredestein Wintrac Xtream tyres from mytyres.co.uk for our newly acquired Audi A2.

I'd ordered from these guys before for both my RS3 and TT and had no reason not to order again.

So I checked the tyres were in stock and placed my order.

19th January: As I'd not yet received the order stated shipment/tracking advice from mytyres I telephoned to enquire and was told that someone would call me back; they didn't.

20th January: I telephoned mytyres mid-morning and Mr. Robert Bodo said he would check with the warehouse and call me back; he didn't.

20th January: I telephoned again mid-afternoon and was told by the service lady Miss Vasilica Pascutoi (you can't make these names up...) that the tyres had not been shipped.  As Miss Pascutoi couldn't advise me of stock and/or when tyres may be available so I asked to cancel my order and she agreed.  An e-mail confirming cancellation was requested and received @ 14.31.  I was also advised "repayment tomorrow".

ALL good so far, no worries; or so I thought!!!

Two and a half hours later @ 16.53 an e-mail advising "items ordered shipped" and advised "too late to cancel shipment" and for me to "refuse delivery".

Ok, not so good, but I can do that, so no major issue; yet!

23rd January:  DPD man Mr. Adnan Laftif arrives with the 'cancelled order'.  Still no notification from mytyres detailing shipment, please note.

With Adnan/the DPD van parked outside I goes and says "wait!  I have to refuse these."  I show Adnan the e-mail from mytyres requesting me to "refuse delivery" and he says "ok, no problem". I authorise refusal and off he goes with the consignment (a nice man Adnan, we've met him before).

Still no shipment/tracking advice from mytyres received; however, even though mytyres stated on their order acceptance that they would advise me when the tyres were despatched, and of shipment number(s) and tracking data, etc., nothing.  But no worries yet; I'd followed all the advice from mytyres and the consignment/tyres were on their way back; or so I thought...

27th January: PayPal advised they're processing a £343.60 payment on the 31st Jan for the mytyres order!  Mytyres had failed yet again to make the repayment promised in their e-mail of 20th Jan.

Straight back to mytyres in writing to ask why repayment had not been made only to be told that payment would not be made until the tyres (my cancelled order) were back in their warehouse.

To compound the problem I was then told I'd only refused one package of 2-tyres and not 2-packages of 4-tyres.  I'll stop here as I asked: "How am I to know how many shipments (1 x 4; 2 x 2; 4 x 1) if I am not advised/you don't bother to provide the shipment/tracking advice you're supposed to?"

I then get the written response: "First we would like to apologize for the inconvenience.  Please rest assured that you have done the correct thing.  We humbly advise to all our customer, who cancels their orders while the shipping is in progress, that they should refuse the delivery.  That is usually the easiest way to ensure that both sides (the customer and the company) are satisfied, and that we can make the refund faster, meaning that the ordered goods don't end up missing.

You (me) are absolutely right to say, that there is no specific way of letting our dear customers know how many packages they will receive.  For this we will issue a report, so that we can make our services a much better experience for all our customers.  Thank you for this feedback."

Yeh!  Ok, right!  Flying pigs, etc...

29th January: Amazingly, for me, the same Mr. Adnan Laftif/ DPD driver delivers again; and he claims that 1-pack of 2-tyres (half of the order/shipment) has been shipped back to mytyres but that the second pack of 2-tyres remains in Smethwick and suggests I call the Smethwick office.

Telephoned the Smethwick office, talked with Ms. Sund Paul, and while she/they recognised the problem with the 2-packs of 2-tyres they needed to check with customer services.

Back to mytyres to advise of my findings and suggested they make contact with DPD to locate 'this' second pack of 2-tyres albeit that I'm still being charged for the compete and utter failure of mytyres to manage the shipment.

30th January: Still nothing from mytyres; and PayPal are going to debit me on the 31st.

30th January @ 10.54.47.  A forthright e-mail for the attention of Mr. Kai Dopmann and Mr. Martin Mayer; Directors of Delticom Tyres Ltd., subject: Unacceptable order process.  My opening line: "I need to report the unacceptable financial situation I find myself in due totally to poor /pathetic communications within mytyres"; and concludes with "I find the behaviour of mytyres in this matter totally unacceptable; due to incompetence on your part I am now most likely to be debited the sum of £343.60 for cancelled goods."

30th January @ 11.39.53.  The response: "Dear Mr.  Thank you for your message.  Please excuse for incompetent service.  We have issued the refund today.  According to the bank status your refund will be visible on your PayPal account in the coming day or two.

We have forwarded your message to our competent co-worker; you ought to receive feedback as soon as possible regarding the inquiry.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen"

It doesn't end here; more tomorrow, and they did/have debited my bank account!

I tell you now: DO NOT purchase from this incompetent set of bast*rds...

BE VERY AWARE when purchasing from mytyres - these guys are 100% incompetent pirates!  But everso apologetic...

To be continued....

Good advice there John,  I'll be sure to be watching with interest the outcome as it's nearly new tyres time.

Still going on...  They've found one pair of tyres in their warehouse but the other pair is elsewhere...

If you order 4-tyres, how is anyone to know how they're shipped: 1x4 you'd expect; but maybe 2x2 or 4x1.

For the summer use I ordered 4 x Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres from Blackcircles; these arrived and were fitted within 3-days and communication through out was 100%, as it should be.

Oh!  And mytyres.co.uk/Delicome Tyres Ltd., list an "office" at 6 Langdale Court, Market Square, Witney, Oxfordshire  OX28 6FG

But it isn't, really; just a post box at the offices of a Chartered Accountant namely Bronsons; and these are listed as "Bronsens are a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants based in Oxford, dedicated to helping small businesses grow and become more profitable."  Yeah!  Right....

A local Audi RS3 owner checked 'em out yesterday; GO! Audi RS3...

Ohh that's not good ,kick there asses john :)

On it, big time, John.  Been all the way up to them big job titles....

I've told 'em too that 100% I'll be reporting them as an "incompetent" (I have it in writing from 'em) company each and every time I see 'em listed on a Forum from now until whenever...

As I wrote to the Directeur de la Communiation: "Dear Ms. Susanne Kindor-d'Unienville

I invite you to look at the way in which my order of the 17th January 2015 has been handled by your company, and payment yet to be refunded even though I have undertaken each and every step requested.

I do intend to publish details on a number of Audi Forums here in the UK as I do have copies of all correspondence both too and from your company.

I have to date spent some 30-hours trying to obtain refund, without success, for goods I have not received.

It is in my view a disgrace and was I managing your company I would be taking very severe actions."

She didn't reply; so not much use at communication; a nice name mind is "Ms. Susanne Kindor-d'Unienville"

Too old to worry these days about useless people with grand job titles and/or names...

Tyreleader don't sound much better:

So many incompetent companies about that they seem to think just because they offer a good price the need for a good service doesn't apply

I can report a similarly positive experience with Blackcircles - excellent communication and good prices on Goodyear Eagle tyres  :)

Have you contacted PayPal to explain the issue? They should refund your payment.

I would tend to use a credit card for a purchase over £100 via the Internet. You are automatically covered by your card issuer for any transaction of that size and I have found them to be very ready to help when problems occur.

Well, here's and answer from: Ms. Susanne Kindor-d'Unienville - Directeur de la Communiation

"Dear Mr. Hawthorne,

Thank you very much for your information, which I forwarded to my colleagues in charge.

Kind regards,

Susanne Kindor"

Susanne was responding to my:

Hey Susanne - no respecter of dummkopf titles, me: been there, done that!!!

"Directeur de la Communiation" what a great title; if only...

Still awaiting my money to be repaid for 4xtyres I have not received and yet 2xtyres were returned to you in January: a pathetic ordering and/or delivery system, and I'm still owed £343.60

Written to you before and hey!  No communication?  And you a director of communication!  Interesting that?  Guess it's a tad different in GmbH to here in the UK?

So I'm now communicating and I've started here on audirs3oc.com: and excellent forum you may have knowledge of?

If not, check it out...

Lots of negative interest so far in mytyres.co.uk (or GmbH) and it will / I will spread the negative; nothing goes as FAST as BAD news, Susanne (?)

I'll be on to Audisport Forums later, and then A2OC, and then RS246, etc.  I seriously intend to spread a 'negative' word where 'negative' applies of how shockingly poor mytyres are!  I will be using the language your representatives have provided to me, so I'll not be making it up...

The/your courier DPD are also communicating with me and they now understand the quality (none) of your services.

It's principle for me, Susanne, as I truly believe I've been well and truly shafted (shall I explain this English term?) by mytyres.co.uk; oh! Sorry, I now know that's just a post box at the offices of a Chartered Accountant in Witney: I sent you a photo earlier...

My point: your company 'still' has my payment of £343.60 for a 4xtyre order you accepted and then cancelled because you couldn't deliver: how would you "communicate"?

I'm sure there'll be more to follow, Susanne.

Yes dbm, and raised a case but it's not effective.  In this case the debit was on my bank (last time, obviously) and not on my credit card: my mistake...

It's a very interesting set of events and that's why I'm reporting...

Muppets like Tyre Giant (PH). Only used them for price match.

They took £250 from my account, no tyres, couldnt find my order then refunded 7days later!

Another vote for Tyre Leader always best price and free delivery.

My issue with mytyres.co.uk is now sorted and payment back in my account.

However, while this has been an entertaining exercise for me as I have both the time and opportunity; I'd strongly advise anyone and everyone NOT to purchase from mytyres.co.uk.

Mytyres.co.uk is listed as: Delticom Tyres Ltd., 6 Langdale Court, Market Square, Witney, Oxfordshire, OX28 6FG: but my sources claim that's just a post box at chartered accountants and they don't fit tyres...

But communications suggest them to be more like: Delticom AG, Brühlstr. 11, 30169, Hannover, Germany

So be very, very careful; "please excuse us for our incompetence" came from them...

I've been dealing with 2-people @ mytyres.co.uk/mytyres.co.uk@delti.com.: a Miss. Vasilica Pascutoi and Mr. Robert Bodo; neither of which would I trust beyond "hello, good morning"; but here's the issue from start to finish:

• 17th January: I ordered 4xtyres and the order readily acknowledged

• 19th January I telephoned to ask of shipment details as these usually come through very quickly but none could be found.  Mytyres would investigate and send me information: they didn't.

• 20th January (am) I telephoned again to ask of shipment details; none could be found, but they would investigate and send me information: they didn't.

• 20th January (pm) I telephoned again to ask of shipment details and advised the shipment had not been sent and they couldn't suggest when shipment could be made.  I suggested cancellation and that was immediately accepted and I was notified in writing.

• Two and a half hours later an e-mail advising "items ordered shipped" and told "too late to cancel shipment" and for me to "refuse delivery".  Hmmm...

23rd January:  DPD arrive with the 'cancelled order'.  With the first 'pair' off the van I asked the delivery guy to "wait!  I have to refuse these."  I show him the e-mail from mytyres.co.uk requesting me to "kindly refuse delivery" and he loads the 'pair' of tyres back on the van; I authorise refusal and off he goes (a nice man we've met him before).

• Still no shipment/tracking advice from mytyres i.e., we're shipping 1x4 tyres, 2 x 2 tyres, or 4 x 1 tyres.

27th January: PayPal advised they're processing payment on the 31st Jan for the mytyres.co.uk order!  Again mytyres had failed to make the repayment promised in Vasilica Pascutoi's 'cancellation' e-mail.

• Telephoned mytyres (Robert Bodo) to ask why repayment had not been made only to be told that payment would not be made until the tyres (my cancelled order) were back in the/a warehouse.  Pointed e-mails follow with apologies from mytyres.co.uk like: "we would like to apologize for the inconvenience", "please excuse our incompetence" and "we are all human, and we do occasionally make mistakes. For that I, myself ask for your pardon", etc.

• 31st January: my bank account is debited and I raise a PayPal Resolution case.  This doesn't go down well at all.

• 1st February: I escalate the PayPal resolution and attack the shipper DPD asking why they've lost their/my tyres.

• 2nd February: I'm now giving both barrels to Susan Kindor (Communications Director) at delti.com, and the shippers DPD at makeitright@dpd.co.uk, and execdesk.admin@geopostuk.com.  Shipment and/or part of shipment/shipments are now lost and an international claim ensues.

3rd February: To all and everybody: hello, I'm still out of pocket while all you guys are blaming each other trying to find my order for four tyres that you still have zero knowledge of being sent; except that I saw 2-tyres on the back of a van on the 23rd January.

• Lots of apologies, from 'them' follow.  I make a not too subtle hint of legal action.

• Message from Bodo, if you cancel your PayPal resolution we will refund you within minutes.  I being a trustful soul do as requested noting that once cancelled a PayPal claim cannot be resurrected.

4th/5th February: No refund.  A number of e-mails sent to Bobo and all questioning honesty and legitimacy and including one 'gif' showing a 'pigs-might-fly' cartoon with no explanation given.  Resurrected the PayPal dispute (yes you can...)

6th February: We've sent you the refund please check your bank account.  So I did and no refund.  Back into attack mode e-mailing statements of uselessness to any and all that may have had an input into this pathetic issue.  Now told a refund BACS takes 3-days; but I know this already.  More apologies and/or excuses from Bobo/Pascutoi/and now the shippers too.

• 7th February: Now looking forward to the Stafford Audi ****-*****.net event so dismiss any response to mytyres.co.uk. and/or others.

• 8th February: At the Stafford Audi ****-*****.net event so 'who cares about mytyres.co.uk.

• 9th February: PayPal have my refund but it's on hold.  Give Bobo/Pascutoi/and the shippers another kick!

• 10th February (am): Refund in my bank account.

DO NOT consider purchasing from this utterly incompetent company that purports to be here in the UK but isn't.  Just don't.  I mean, you've only yourselves to blame if you do.

PS: in the meantime I ordered a set of summer use tyres from BLACKCIRCLES and these arrived safely and were fitted within 4-days.  All communications were superb and the tyres supplied had the same November 2014 date stamp - and were cheaper than mytyres.

If you need to buy on-line then Blackcircles (Peebles, Scotland) seem to be a very good choice.
