Hi all! First - thanks a lot for all good advice from this forum! Its been really helpful! The RS3 purchase has been a dream come true since I read about it in a car magazine 2010 but anyway - its mine finally and now after owning it for 6months I would like a bit more action.

I am doing the following updates;

Engine optimised to ~500 reliable hp, (including IC, exhaust etc)

Large front brakes that can better handle track days etc

Coilovers (looking at KW DDC??)

I could really go just about anywhere in Europe because of my work so:

Any input from you guys on what to get, and where to get it done?

PPH offer "kits" up to 600ps, and as far as I know APR do their "Stage 3" kit in Germany, and that is around 500hp I think.

Not sure, but I think they both use Loba turbos, and I had never heard of them until recently, so no I dea how they compare to the likes of Garrett, etc.

Whatever you go for, 500hp in an RS3 will be mint I'm sure :)

APR use garret turbos and can produce in excess of 550 bhp, loba is just a hybrid OEM turbo which will struggle to hit 500 even with meth injection.

Nortech are currently in the early stages of designing a kit for this engine :)

Ricky at race developments is your man but I'd say it's 20k plus for a full engine rebuilt and stage 3 apr kit ...

Ok everything I'm about to write sounds like I'm contradicting myself all the time but stay with me till the end 😂 One of my friends has had two stage 3 TTRSs both done by APR. After reading on this forum how APR were taken over due to them having no money it explains a lot because the service and workmanship done by APR was poor on both cars. The quality of their parts they produce are second to none but both cars were done at the old APR headquarters in Milton Keynes and parts were being fitted by people who didn't have a clue (sorry to be blunt). APR HQ is now up in Manchester and works closely with awesome GTI who will provide a fantastic quality of service.
If you are looking for 500+, apr would be the way to go but you need to make sure who ever fits the kit has got qualified technicians etc. With the APR race intercooler. A custom 4"/3" exhaust, APR turbo kit with their high pressure fuel pump I would expect no less than high 500s. As well as a big break set up to handle the slowing down side of things. After an engine fire in my mates second TT (caused by their poor workmanship) all the apr parts were taken out and refitted correctly and everything fits as good as Audi parts. If you are going to spend the money, make sure you get the right people working on your car because at the end of the day a lot of tuning companies think of the money first and then the work later. They also don't like it when you question them as I bought what I thought to be an APR high pressure fuel pump but after a few checks, appears to not be APR but a tuning company (fitted the part) who could be critical in proving the brand of the pump don't want to be Involved and are running for the hills.

Verdict: Go for APR but be careful and make sure the handy work is checked thoroughly!!

Thanks for reply! Ill send APR a request for a quote.  I have also asked MTM in Wettstetten, Germany. As far as I know they are well known for high quality stuff. They offer less power (472hp )but they do offer some kind of warranty if I understand it right.

Anyways, Ill put up a video and report up when all is installed and done
