Need a bit of advice on what you guys use to detail your tyres and what products you would recommend to make them look good as new.

I've used Meg's endurance but currently got a thing for Autoglym tyre shine as I prefer the non sticky/greasy finish.

Biggest tip is to make sure you clean your tyre walls too as the finish is better when you use any tyre shine.

I wash the tyre walls when doing the rims, and have used Simoniz Back to Black trim spray for years.

Its quick, clean, does not flick off onto the bodywork and gives a wet shiny look, without flaffing about.

Spray on and leave it. Done.

They now do a Back to Black Tyre version, does the same job, possibly a bit wetter in its spray application from the can.

I also use Meguires endurance tyre gel and I am very impressed at how long the shininess lasts on my tyres.

Currently Chemical Guys Tyre Gel, Megs is OK but takes a while to cure, AG  for me not that durable / dull in a few days, G-Techniq good but have so much CG left I need to use it up first!

Exactly what I do, Way cheaper than the fancy expensive applicators and does the same job… Plus you can bin them regular.

Also the rectangular flat household sponges cut into pieces are good for applying other products on a variety of surfaces, dressing window rubbers ,interior/exterior plastics .
