Hi mate,
I asked today when i got software update and they said it would cost 1 hour labour charge. Was £50 at place i was at. And probably another £50 to reactivate!
Hello Guys,
It would be £66.00 inc vat to flash back to stock and the same again to flash back to APR
I hope that helps

I wonder what ever happened to the promises of developing the software further so you could switch map and disable etc via the cruise control.
Seems to me APR have made their money out of this little group and don't see any further revenue stream, so why bother!
All false promises with them Neil,Steve posted this topic on 9th June and it took APR 11 days to post an answer, they can't even address the shortfalls some people are having with the original map.Why would they let a user switch the map with the cruise control when they can charge £66 a pop for the privilege every time .
Hey Guys
I will chase this question of switching between maps today With APR, but may i just say it isn't APR that charges to switch the programs from map to stock then back again, it is the individual retailer, let me clarify the future for you guys after conversing with APR UK, if your car needs to be flashed back then this should be able to be done via the OBD, if this is the case then for you Guys only, Awesome will flash the car FOC, however if the ECU for some reason needs to be removed to do this then there will be a charge of an hours Labour.
I hope this clears up the point of it not being APR charging for this.
For you to get the flash free with the OBD you need to speak to me when you come in or make a prior booking
Regards Mark Ash (Director) Awesome

Trust me... I've spent more time here arguing for this on your behalf than ANY other product, and I continue to do so. At the moment unfortunately the focus has been redirected to the Simos12/18 ECUs found in the new model VWs and Audis.
To clarify your confusion (or debunk your conspiracy) Daytona500, switching maps (even to stock) was never a solution for protecting your warranty--this is true for every piece of software we sell. It's a necessity as Volkswagen Group continues to tighten their grip on warranty claims. The surcharges as Mark stated above is for the reapplication of software if the ECU needs to be removed, and is discretionary based on the agent (we can't force an individual business to charge or not charge for their own shop time). If you want to keep your warranty, you have to flash back to stock with your APR agent.

"Conspiracy" LOL "Confusion" none,i don't need to put a spin on anything i say I just state facts.Fact several RS3 owners have not reached the APR quoted figures which still hasn't been resolved.Fact £66 was quoted for remapping car back to stock ,Fact no sign of being able to switch maps via cruise control.Fact once your ecu has been prised open your warranty is void.Just for the record i never have or will have a car mapped so my views are not biased towards any one tuner.
Evan your answer further confirms my fears. There is no further revenue stream to be had from us RS3 owners so the powers that be decide this, have focused the development elsewhere so that you can reap the rewards of a whole new group.
Unfortunately that leaves us with empty promises at this stage!
I find this annoying as the maps were sold with the promise of switching coming along soon after.
As a large company I understand you run on profits, but at this stage it looks like you have simply dumped us without any further development.
One last point, flashing the ECU back to stock, will not protect your warranty. Audi can see the tell tale signs of an ECU which has been prised apart physically. No matter how good your tech is, he will damage the flanges of the ECU whilst splitting it.
Mr. Freeze, your fears are not confirmed! We frequently revisit unfinished projects as current/new/pressing projects are completed. The community on this forum is in no way representational of the global RS3 community and further the RS3 market is not tapped out. So, no, we aren't finished with the RS3 platform.
Flashing the ECU back to stock has proven to be the best way currently to avoid TD01 flags. It is the procedure we and other tuners rely on most heavily for our customers to enjoy the software and avoid risking their warranty. Yes, Audi can tell if an ECU has been opened, but only if they have a reason to do so. On a positive note, none of our 2.5T customers have had the misfortune of facing those circumstances. Further, any customers that have not had their ECU covered under warranty is usually absorbed by us directly or by the APR agent who theoretically causes irreparable damage to an ECU.
We remain here to support with direct lines of contact if needed.

My conspiracy and confusion comment were aimed specifically at your £66 pound price for reflashing being falsely labelled as an alternative to program switching and not for warranty support. THIS thread is about disabling a remap that both Mark and I have addressed. But it seems you have a larger axe to grind despite my efforts in multiple threads across this forum addressing power figures, program switching, and warranty.

Evan Is the apr mobile dongle that is currently being advertised on the APR UK website available to be installed for the owners of RS3's that have APR software here in the UK?

No axe to grind at all just fair play for fellow forum members /friends that have spent their hard earned cash for a product that falls short. You've only typed words on your computer you've not physically addressed the shortfalls.
