Friends and I Used to run a popular off the shelf octane booster years ago on modified S3, S4, RS4’s etc. A lot of us were running switchable/ adjustable maps with adjustable boost and timing modes, but I admit, not necessarily specifically mapped for it.
But when it was rumoured to be linked to some spark plug tip failures taking out engines , we instantly stopped using it as a precaution.
back then a bottle ( about the same size as a can of Coke) was noticeable on 60l of fuel. I wouldn’t recommend it though.

Ah,
we were getting greedy, using it on 99 v power or momentum.
I know of one guy who ran his on a mix of Toululine , nasty stuff it’s a cancer causing paint thinners in basic form, , but also illegal because it’s not taxed for road use. ( bit like red diesel)

Sounds like it was proper fun! I’m just looking for something off the shelf so I don’t bugger the map up. I’d found this on the web which seems to take 95 Ron upto 102 so will be about 99 on a full tank.

I used that very OB earlier this year.
Half a can into a full tank makes a noticeable difference.

Thanks T-800 so is my understanding of the spec correct 1 full bottle would take 40 litres of 95 Ron and make it 102 Ron?

Advised by 2 other people who use it as they did the same.

Worth checking opening times of petrol station as a precaution i had planned to fill up at Thurso only garage closed at 6pm. Do the drive anti clockwise up the east coast down the west the west is so much better.

I only used it when I had the JB4 turned up to 11Are there any dangers of using this day to day on a car? I've never used an OB before but always been curious!

Is there any risk putting it in a tank then not putting it in the next tank? I'm running a revo stage 1 with most hardware for stage 2 but not mapped in yet, im wondering if its worth starting to use some OB just to help stabilise the fuel mixture a bit more once I've done stage 2? I always use 99RON v power too
