I much prefer the old style on what a GREAT colour choice of the S1 Niel ...YELLOW is the new black !

Me and Mrs Mush were at Bluewater yesterday and she likes the q3 we saw 2  of them 4 cars apart new one and a 16 plate one in the car park the

new one the grille is much more pronounced and looks much more "plasticky" .

Still like any new car they take a bit of getting used to I spose.

The Audi Tech bloke I know said he knew of an S1 with 400 + bhp I bet that is as scary as hell  !!

Well if Roy is correct (subway yellow is the new black!) I might need to get more tan then! Neil definitely need to test drive the S1 to complement colour :D  :D. I am sure Toby will also have something to say about the colour, although its not quite pink!

Well you’ve surprised me Mush, really did think you were going to rip me a new one 😂😂😂
It’s going to take some getting used to as the power difference is huge but it almost feels like I’m more involved in the driving again.
Once I get comfortable with its limits I reckon it’s going to be a fun little motor.
A 400bhp version would be scarily fast. It would need a ton of upgrades to do it right though.

Yeah sounds brilliant, handling is a little sketchy compared to the mk7 r, the power is great but think its need more to be honest haha. New tyres going on this week (PS4S with 225's on the back) and looking into the 034 motorsport rear sway bar.

Interesting - how is it comparable so far vs the 7R. Power, handling, overall driving etc.

Cheers.

......looking into the 034 motorsport rear sway bar.

This makes a massive difference to the car ... a ‘night and day’ and essential upgrade imo ..

i have had a busy week!

Power - I had a JB4 on the golf r which brought the car alive, standard I was a little disappointed, the RS3 is more aggressive and has so much more character which makes it more enjoyable to be honest.

handling - I had DCC/mag ride on the golf r, I don't know how much they helped but it does inspire confidence and i would gladly take it around corners comfortably, day to day driving was also great, its definitely more refined in my opinion but to be expected I guess.

overall they are both great cars in their own right, the RS3 - power, noise, exclusiveness, those bucket seats  B) , golf r would be a better daily drive, plenty of power, more refined, better tech, handling.

Personally these are weekend cars for me and I have always wanted an 8p RS3 so i knew i would eventually end up in one. I did get bored of the golf r even with the jb4 (plenty of power to be honest), cracks are starting to show on these mqb cars tho haldex issues, coolant leaks, blown turbos, gearbox selector issues luckily mine stayed trouble free.

I would recommend them you may be pleasantly surprised  :D
