Yep I got tyre and Alloy insurance but I'd bet the alloy part may be a waste of time.

As an aside, we've just traded in our TT for a golf GTD and the VW salesman agreed and pointed out that they'd stopped offering it.
His reason.......

Too much bad customer experiences with it, resulting in lost future sales, fair play for his honesty I'd say.

Thanks, it did seem grief when he told me about it as in no wheel for 3 or 4 days which made me a bit wary

The Alloy wheel insurance is a waste time, if it's the same one...car care policy?

They will only carry out smart repairs to repair the alloy and if you damage the wheel beyond repair, you will only get £150 towards the cost of a new one (which are £649.00)

:)

yeah I thought it might be a waste of time so I didn't get it, I did get the service and maintenance one though as it was only 23quid a month which I thought was a no brainier when you consider the cost of new discs and pads

It's 150 quid off a new wheel though. :) I have it and the paint insurance. Didn't pay for either though, got it as part of the deal. :)
