I am giving up. Looks like these cars are only reliable for a short time.

So quickly swapped coil packs around. Clear the codes and start the engine .... same thing cyl 4 so took out the plugs and 4 is wet ..... hmmm..... swap it with cyl 5 and refit everything and reset codes start the engine and shortly missfire cyl 4 pops up.
Now i must mention that at the start of checking the car it was starting to properly miss. And everytime i reset and start it would run ok for about 1min and then start.
I took out plug 4 again and it was very wet. Piston looks wet when looling from the top. It didnt really smell like fuel but it was dark fluid like oil ontop. So pulled dipstick .... this slightly smelled like fuel so now i not 100% sure what could be the cause if there was something wrong with the piston there would be allot more oil and it would realy sound very sick. Also the oil level would drop allot .... the oil level in this cas was still at it's normal mark.
Car is booked to go to them i havr arranged for them to pick it up as i dont want to drive it at all and risk more damage.

If no4 injector is sticking open it could be putting so much fuel in that it won`t fire. Hence it won`t burn the oil off that plug .

In regards to smell of fuel in the oil with these direct injection engines you do get more bore wash and will get more fuel escaping into the oil.

I really hope it's the jnjector and if they replace it with a new part then i would have loved to get all 5 but Audi would only replace 1 seeing as the car is under an extended warranty and buying these i ejectors out of my own pocket is like buying a new car in this F'up country stuff is stoopid expensive.
I will keep this page updated and report back.

But i will try to stay positive and hope all works out, i also told the guys to check all the logs etc and fuel trims etc as something must have caused this failure.

Update ... Audi just phoned me as i suspected no compression on cyl 4 ... so i am in for some big costs, if my extended warranty decides to not pay. R13200 just to strip and quote. I am devestated and to think this is a stock car perhaps a good thing i never mapped it.
If your car is stock Jacques I can't imagine it won't be covered under warranty.
I'd be having a conversation with the service manager now and getting confirmation you're covered.
Good luck mate.

The only thing that does make me scared of them possibly not wanting to pay is the price.
I even asked why it's so expensive to strip and quote the excuse was that it is an RS car i then told them that is a load of bull as stripping an RS or stripping any other car is still stripping why would it be more. Funny they hd no answer for me .... i spoke to another guy that had a friend whos RS3 dropped a piston as well the pistons and rods allone was over R50 000 ... a new engine apparently over R100 000. I almost had a heart attack

£18000 for a new engine WTF, jeez these cars can become money pits. Oh no what have I got myself into here😅😅😅🤞
Just ensure you have warranty for the entire period you own the car and you should be ok.

Oh my word that is allot of money for a new engine .... converted to ZAR it would be to much and they will right the car off.
I think exchange rate is now R22 for 1 pound ... :-)
not sure how much it would be when it comes from the factory to us.

I dont even know if they can fix the block as you can feel the ridge where the piston scraped
Bad news then.....
Fingers crossed for the warranty covering it for you.
