If you have the REVO map then the one they give you will work just fine.

I have one and I believe it has to be bought with the map as it's coded to the map. Might be totally wrong about that though!

Any SPS should work with any Revo software - any car.

Ok, I had to think back to my mapping session (it was late 2015 after all) and I clearly recall the SPS being set up for my map. Certainly I was asked what kind of performance I would like for the non-stock modes.

I'd ask Revo for an opinion before spending any money.

Besides, I only once set it back to stock - and immediately put it back to performance!.

Looking at VAGTECH / REVO websites:

The Patented OBD2 interface is the ultimate compliment to our performance software. The SPS gives the user the ability to switch between performance modes and a stock performance setting via the vehicle OBD port.

Our SPS has a preset stock mode, the ability to store three performance settings and the additional benefit of a security lockout program (anti theft).

Simply select a program, plug in, wait a few seconds, remove the select device and start the car. It’s simple and there’s no fixed switch to install in the vehicle.

SPS FUNCTIONALITY

The SPS delivers different levels of functionality depending on the vehicle it is used with, and whether variable switching is available in our performance software. Revo adjustability  allows the vehicle to be setup efficiently for varying fuel quality and conditions. For specific details of functionality of the SPS with your car please use the vehicle software selection option on the home page to view the software product page for your vehicle.

I believe you can take any switch to the revolution dealer that installed the map and have it "coded" to the car / map so it suits your custom settings from memory they will do this for free as it's basically a case of uploading info to the sps so it knows what you want to do

As you say red, maps are usually left on performance mode but I believe you can set a couple of map modes for daily / fast road use etc, also the valet locking system is useful if the cars going in anywhere to ensure they don't have full use of your car in performance mode

Thanks for the info guys. I believe there different versions of the SPS unit as per Revo website. What sort of pricing are we looking for a 2nd hand unit?
Theres so many units on the Revo site that its confusing as to which unit is correct and provide more features.
