Few fabrication updates...

Around 2800-3000rpm in sport mode use to suffer from a bit of droning on the Bull X system so I got in touch with Stewart (ex MRC) whose just opened up his own unit to fabricate a helmholtz resonance pipe to eliminate the unwanted frequencies to cause the drone from this system. Check out the welding

We then decided after a test drive to fabricate an adjustable sleeve so i have the flexibility and can play around with the length of the pipe in order to totally eliminate the drone/ to save me travelling backwards and forwards. This sleeve was fabricated to give a polished look and was made from scratch and mounted over the existing helmholtz pipe using a V band clamp

Next item that I've never really taken any notice of until castle Combe was to install a fire extinguisher beneath the passenger seat. Such a simple thing but could prevent the loss of your car completely. Priceless.

A bracket was fabricated and mounted to 2 existing screws located under the passenger seat so the adjustability isn't affected at all and it's not going to get in the way of passengers feet. Loaded with a 600g dry powder extinguisher. Good job I have my BAFE ticket so I can give them an annual service

All looks very nice Jay mate.

Can we expect anything to be added to the used parts bin as a result of this latest tweak? πŸ˜‰

The fire extinguisher mount looks great - i was hopeful of going down the same path as the only ones i have seen available still show/display the extinguisher and it ruins the interior in my opinion.. Don't suppose you have a GA drawing or any pics of the bracket prior to installation?

Yeah I've seen the same mounts that are completely in view and would do my head in. No drawings were designed just measured against the existing width of the chair and fixings but I will dismantle it and take some pictures for you at some point today.

Sean... How can I put this.... Yours looks a little,  well, Flaccid compared to Jay's.

Hope it's not a result of your recent operation.  ;)
