Their web-site doesn't list for the RS3 http://www.apcoilove...e=Audi&model=A3 wouldn't trust e-bay ads being 100% accurate.

Yeah they would fit but most likely the spring rates & damping wouldn't be the best for our cars.

I fitted some Eibach front springs that were listed for RS3 but they just don't suit the chassis. They were previously only listed for the S3 8P but Eibach extended the list to the RS3 as well but they spoil the chassis balance. They don't match the rear spring rate as they are too soft.

Tred warily if you are thinking of trying the AP's you might have a similar experience.

Best to stick to tried and trusted products on our cars like Bilstein as listed on a few threads on here.

The bilstein pss10 coilover would be my recommendation.

The only "budget" coilover kit i would recommend is the BC racing kit. To my knowledge they do not offer a kit of the 8p RS3.

Whats peoples opinions on the Bilstein vs KW kits?

Both seem to be reasonably expensive so wouldnt want to make and arse of it again and buy the wrong ones haha

I've only ever had FK coilovers on my old TT and they were around £350, didnt really help much on the handling front but did get the car running really low. Always wished I'd spent and bit more and got a reasonably good set.

I much prefer the bilsteins.

Having ran a high powered b5 rs4 for the past 6-7 years and tried most parts & combinations of parts i always settled on the bilstens (pss9's in the case of the b5) They offered the best blend of suitability on the road, worked a treat on track and were extremely easy to adjust on the car (KW required removal to adjust)

You wont go wrong with either but in my opinion the bilsteins are better all round.

I would find out what model the kit was originally designed for, as said above they arent listed for the RS3 so maybe taken from another variant of the A3 8P.

AP coilovers are produced in the same factory as KW and Weitec just different materials used.

I fitted a set of AP's to a previous car and thought they were good quality, had no issues with them at all. I know quite a few had them fitted and were of the same opinion.

Why the change for the KW's if you don't mind me asking? most seem to go for the Bilsteins but I always fancied the KW's largely due to stainless steel construction

Same with the bilsteins Jonny, the rear has plenty of adjustment but the front could do with having a little more, looking forward to pics 👍
