The forge cooler has virtually no pressure loss and cools allot better.
Forge is allot smaller than Wagner but getter. The core forge use is much better quality. Wagner stuff is made in china

Just for stage 1 , I don't ever plan on tuning the car any further than that?

Wagner evo 3 should be better, have you seen the size of it. Forge is better for Stage 1 cars than evo 1 and 2 Wagners

The standard RS3 cooler is actually better than the evo 1 wagner
Why is that jay?
According to Wagner site it flows better than oem?

Just spoke with awesomegti & they tell me they've seen the best results using the forge intercooler.
I can get
Wagner evo 1 -£392
Wagner evo 2 -£744
Forge - £1056
There quite a big difference in price and as I've got a huge mods list I just want the most cost effective option for stage 1 , I'm not planning on running any higher than that.

I have the Wagner evo 1 cooler running APR stage 2+ (417bhp and 477ft-lb). I think the cooler is the thing holding the car back in terms of figures to be honest. I have seen others running stage 1/2 with nearer 440-450bhp and well over 500ft-lb! I would like to test it on a dyno with standard cooler to see if the evo 1 made any improvement at all. You would assume it was better than the OEM one however. Forge seems to get the best feedback. I think I will probably upgrade the cooler at some point to the Forge. It seems like quite a costly upgrade for a road car that is otherwise going well (touch wood).
Audi RS3 8P. APR stage 2+, Milltek exhaust (decat and non resonated), 034 Motorsport ARB, 034 Motorsport air intake, Wagner FMIC, Bilstein B14, OZ Racing Formula HLT, Toyo R888R

I've had evo 2&3, a friend had evo1. All rubbish, charts graphs don't really mean anything until it's on the actually on the car being tested in real conditions and under higher boost levels.
My forge is supporting over 700bhp, just shows size means nothing
