Just scanned the car and found its logged an Emissions error:

1 Fault Found:

001089 - EVAP Emission Control Sys
               P0441 - 002 - Incorrect Flow
             Freeze Frame:
                    Fault Status: 01100010
                    Fault Priority: 2
                    Fault Frequency: 1
                    Reset counter: 255
                    Mileage: 79788 km
                    Time Indication: 0
                    Date: 2016.09.27
                    Time: 20:38:36

             Freeze Frame:
                    RPM: 759 /min
                    Load: 12.9 %
                    Speed: 0.0 km/h
                    Temperature: 96.0∞C
                    Temperature: 41.0∞C
                    Absolute Pres.: 1010.0 mbar
                    Voltage: 14.732 V

Readiness: 0000 0000

Googling shows this is likely to be connected with the carbon canister or associated N80 valve.

I had a mishap when re-fuelling in the week and its possible I flooded the breather pipe return into the canister.

Does anyone know if this is recoverable or does this A-Hole the canister meaning it needs replacing?

Have you tried saving and then clearing the fault code ?

See if it comes back ?

Duke,

I once had the same fault code come up and once cleared in DTC's it never came back, it looks to be one of those precautionary 'it's happened so system notifies you but it does not cause any detriment to the car' flags

Cheers chaps. Yes I cleared the dtc's but the error didn't budge. The car is driving ok and no damage warning but I will have a look at the weekend.

When I had my car it had this same code!
Audi replaced the charcoal canister and the fault never returned.

As opposed to using the clear DTC's button, did you try going into the module, under fault codes, delete, see if that works?

Yeah that's what I am worried about. It was fine until I stupidly pulled the trigger on the petrol pump before the nozzle was fully in and the go-juice spurted out and down the side of the car. Presumably it went down the canister breather pipe as well. It might cost me £90 to fix with a new carbon canister once its happened.

HA, cheers Monopole.

Ran the scan again and then cleared DTC's but error still there.

Entered the Engine Controller module and cleared the fault code direct and now its gone after running the engine and re-scan check

Many thanks, one less thing to do on the car now.

It's always best to clear from the controller directly.
