Cool, still like P1's I have owned two of them as my first one was hit up the rear at ~45 mph whilst I was stationary on the M25 - was only two weeks old!  :( Funnily enough the replacement P1 was the next consecutive VIN, so for a few days I had two P1's registered under my name with consecutive VIN No's  B)

I originally started the P1 owners club (www.p1woc.co.uk) but let that go some years ago now!

Ex P1 owner here too. Bought mine from Sevenoaks back in 2001 (i think!) and it was either ex-demo or a quick return as the miles were low...

Nice car but hard work and noisy when not in the mood on a Friday evening tackling the A40 out of London!

Still have a bit of a soft spot for the bugeye version and might end up with one as a project one day as seen some stunners that were imho "sensibly"  modified (lowered a touch , dished alloys, shaved doors and boot )

Used to have a Condor Grey RS3 8P, and before that a further 47 assorted money pits

Always missed out on the Subaru/Evo route as I was too into my VAG stuff.

Took one out on a track day and it was a beast, They seem to attract the wrong crowd more so than the RS badged stuff

They really did attract the wrong crowd once the prices started to fall trying to find a good Impreza or evo now that's not been bumped or badly modded are very few and far between
