Guys, what's the best way to remove bird droppings from your paintwork? And I'm talking Seagulls here, flying rats, the stuff they leave is usually embellished with shell fragments etc.

I live in an area that's festooned with the little feckers, its like something out of a Hitchcock movie and unfortunately after a day at work I will usually have a few missiles on my car. I currently use Supaguard remover, its like a moose that you spray on that rehydrates the dirt and makes it easier to clean off, lucky the weather is so miserable, as if the sun was out it would easily remove a layer of wax/lacquer/paint from the car.

So anybody have any tips or products that they can recommend for use? Something that minimises the damage, I'm guessing it will be near impossible to remove without some scratching of the paint surface or even the lacquer.

Foam it leave it pressure wash it off?

If you can get it so your gear is ready to go it's easy to do when you get home.

Important is getting a good layer or 4 of hard wearing wax or sealant as that will make it harder for the poo to stick as mentioned in another thread the collinite 476s works well and is hard wearing

AG Bird Lime wipes are OK but not the best for heavy lime / grit content. Best is to poor hot water over it to dissolve or as said above, pressure washer it off. I live near the coast, have the flying vermin nesting on our chimney stack so between them and tree sap cars are a nightmare to keep clean. The other half has often used her spray detailer and microfiber when I'm away from home to clean it off and left swirl marks in the Gtechniq coating so now she pressure washes when they have off loaded on to her car.

BTW its illegal to kill the gits, as well, go figure!

Goodness me..... They'll grab a sponge some cold water and scrub away!! And be done with it.

I spray the sh1t with citrus pre wash, let it soak for a minute and then rinse with a hose pipe at full pressure.

Then grab a shot gun and shoot the next seagull I see!
