Have you changed the sparks and plug coils?
Rob at Autotec was very careful to explain why you should put new plugs in, plug coils too - you'll probably find that the leftmost has corrosion down the hole. Apparently this is common. My old 3.2 had issues with broken coils too so maybe a theme there. Awseome GTI do a good deal for just over £100 the lot.

Thanks mate plugs have already been changed to colder plugs and regapped I have ordered r8 red coils through a place called psi tuning who deal in Vag stuff and they were much and such the same as awesome plus I ordered uprated prop bolts from them to so got postage discount to.

I'll keeps you's posted with how I get on

That's handy, bought it on ebay last night! Think it might have been one of the lads on here, almost half price.

After my map I only "need" 4 more horses to break 400 so this should do it  :)

Mike, what plugs are you running out of interest?
When you had the misfire did you check them to see what the condition is like?
I see you've changed to the red coils, do you know if they offer an improvement over the stock black ones?
The reason is ask is i'm getting a very intermittent misfire and Id say running a little rich as checked the plugs and all 5 are consistent with more carbon build up than you'd expect to see.

I'm running ngk racing plugs which are colder
Don't think there is any real improvement over the stock black ones but my misfire is fixed and car running like a dream

Ok I've heard of them being used before, where did you get them? Quite pricey I seem to recall when I've seen them.

Did you also get your mapping tweaked or was it just the plugs and coils which sorted it?

Im presume you weren't showing any fault codes indicating a misfire?

My plugs were about £150 and got them from a local parts distributor

The coils were £100 from a company called psi tuning.

Na no fault codes just intermittent misfire coming onto boost no map tweak just plugs and coils mate

Do you remember the intercooler outlet diameter? Looking at the pics looks smaller than 3"
