After my slaughtering of their Sales team, I have nothing but praise as previously stated for Tyneside Audi Service. They have been very helpful with my on-going brake concerns and on Monday took my car off me to see what could be done having had the 476i brake upgrade and then rebedded in twice since in the last couple of months with no effect.

I was given an A5 Sportback 2.0 TDi just to make my RS3 feel even more special, they kept me informed throughout the process, kicked Audi CS into shape and yesterday afternoon I picked my car up again with a brand new set of front discs and pads and was shown on pick up the photos they were sending to Audi for all the work to be covered under warranty. Minor downside is they gave me an advisory on the rear tyres being the wrong size but they are instructed to do that now to cover themselves.

In all a pleasant experience to add to what I have had from them before for warranty and servicing work.

RESULT!!! Nice one P_G. :up_it:

The b*****ds at Audi uk and preston Audi have on more then one occasion refused to do anything about my brakes. :angry: I have given up...

I am now taking my RS down to AwesomeGTi this saturday for checking the brakes system and fit some new pads.

Vito,

I raised another case with Audi UK CS, I then sent them and Tyneside media files with video identifying the squeal which they acknowledged. The master tech took my car out on Monday and the same thing happened which they reported along with pics of excessive metal particles in the disc veins and CS advised Tyneside that any remedy works would be covered under warranty so new discs and pads were issued and fitted as they have already tried the interim solution provided by Audi technical of Tyneside Audi re-bedding in the pads which didn't work.

Good work continues with Tyneside Audi service department. The '3 has been in for it's 3rd service at 52k miles on an interim basis, new RS tech Richie Thomas did a cracking job in identifying that the oil filter housing was leaking which seemingly is something the RS Tech's course advise all Techs to look out for on 2.5 TFSi engines. Meant ordering a new part overnight and them holding on to the car for a day longer but work done on time, always kept informed by Claire Betts-Gardner and a very good price too. Work done was;

Interim service (oil / filter change and general inspection supplying own oil)

aircon service

pollen filter replaced

s-tronic software reset

replaced oil filter seal / housing

sorted NSR door hinge

2 days in dealership

Total £166.

The only bit that let it down was the new Lookers centralised call system. No knowledge of my details on the system, kept referring to the car as an S3, wanted to charge me for a full major service at £449 when it was £409 on their website and worse still the price would have stayed the same when I said the plugs did not need changing so would still have been charged for it when the work wasn't done. advised I couldn't use my on oil but when consulting the dealership was then told I could.

In summary, the local team are great and a good job done but Lookers is starting to spoil the experience.

P_G I have to agree with you on the guys at Tyneside. Been going there for many years because of the initial service I received and that continued..
