Audi have finally taken off the covers and revealed the car at the Frankfurt show. Again its a very conservative look, though I like it most out of all the latest cars, I guess a UK release will be Q1 next year?

I like it, I don't like the probably £80k price tag it'll no doubt command.

summer 2018 release I'd heard

I like the conservative look & that's why I bought a Audi RS3 😊 Not a Ford Focus RS 😕

It does have a certain something about it quite subtle yet very cab able. Would have loved to have one of the last b8 models naturally aspirated v8 but probably would have crippled me financially 😂

With you on that - I reckon you'll be looking at £100k fully specced.

V6 is nasty imho and shouldn't be in a modern RS.

If you want conservative why not a Morris Minor, a standard Golf, a standard Honda Civic etc?

I was like that until I owed a B8 S4 that V6 might not sound anywhere like a V8 but they really do shift

My wife and I have been talking about this new car as a RS3 replacement, as the children get older.  It looks great, however, if its £70k, then our spec will be £85k+.  I think we will jump straight up to the RS6 Performance, approx 1 year old, for less money!

Looking forward to a test drive though

The new 4 to me looks amazing as estates go. The cabin looks like a nice place to be in but for a car wearing a rs badge it doesn't really sound that great imo. It probably goes like a rocket but Sometimes the sound can also make the car what it is as well, all part of the experience I suppose. I was hoping he was going to move on to that r8 under the covers next to it, wonder what the guys from Audi having been upto now with that beast?

I appreciate the inconspicuous exterior - one of the reasons I chose the RS3 over the M2

Avant > Sedan IMO :)

If the Rs4 is anything like the Rs5 then it'll sound like a bigger S3 and they're falling behind dynamically and in power.
While they look good, I can't say I'm excited
