I got just under £3k off list - approximately 5.5% off directly with the dealer. Not too bad given the original response was 'no discount' when I inquired a couple of months ago. Pretty happy with that - could have saved a couple of hundred £ if I'd gone with a broker but didn't like the fact that the deposit / balance was paid to him not the dealer and that pick up would have been from his premises... the alarm bells started ringing (rightly or wrongly) at that point.
Ended up going for:
Mythos black with Gloss Black styling pack, Sport Pack, Comfort and Sound Pack, Panoramic roof, Matrix LEDs, Super Sports seats in black / rock grey, Privacy glass, Extended upholstery pack, folding / auto-dimming door mirrors, Audi Phone Box, rear side airbags, 4th year warranty and standard alloys... will swap those off for my current wheels. I think I ticked the box for squeaky brakes and rattly exhaust on start-up too but will need to check my order form
Looking forward to tracking the build and picking it up sometime in March.
I tried through carwow and they could only get around £500 off as well. I did however tell the dealer I was offered £2k more by VW as a trade in and was told don't worry we can make a deal. Maybe they are can't give it me off the price but indirect through the trade in. I will post an answer when I get back from my test drive tomorrow evening.
How did you get a discount my local dealer will only knock off £500 of a £64k car
Hi Stu,
I went through Orangewheels and they put me in touch with the dealer (I'd used them previously and they got me a good deal on a RS6). I'd also got a quote from UKCarBroker.com and phoned up the dealer on the second last day of the month. They couldn't match the UKCarbroker discount (although I didn't go down this route as I wanted to deal with the Audi garage directly) but I did manage to get them down to a decent price - they effectively through in the 4th year warranty free, so use this / service plans as your final negotiating chips!
Good Luck on the deal and in narrowing down the choice! Let us know how you get on
Well I have made the order today and decided on the following:
Silver saloon with black trim pack
Sports pack
Super sport seats
I was going to get the wheel upgrade but thought at £695.00 it was a rip off, especially when you go into the next emission cat and pay £400.00 extra for the first year. I can choose a really nice set of rims for around £1100 and sell the factory ones.
